Why Organic?

To be an organic salon is a philosophy not just a product certification.

Organic to us is making educated choices about everything involved in running a salon starting with the tools and equipment used ensuring we make informed choices to ensure that our packaging, product and energy usage is minimised to reduce the effects to the environment.

The products that we use are produced as naturally as possible whilst allowing them to maintain their effectiveness and purchased from companies that share a synergy with our own philosophies.

We are just ordinary people trying to make a difference in our industry by making more aware, more informed and better choices.

What we look for:

  • Only purchase products from suppliers with ethical working relationship 
  • To maintain an ethical environmental policy 
  • To ensure we do not use products that are tested on animals 
  • Use  the most gentle formulations possible 
  • To train and educate our staff to ensure they are working to the best of their abilities 
  • To maintain an ethical sourcing policy
  • To recycle or reuse whereever possible 
  • Provide a model that is sustainable long term and mutually beneficial for clients and staff



FAQ

How is the services you offer different to a chemical salon?

They are no different. Our services are just like any other professional salon. They just may take a little longer and are much better for you.

Do your colours cover grey?

Yes they do and as the colour uses a softer method to colour the hair, the regrowth is alot softer allowing some people a little longer between regrowth applications.

What differences will I notice with an organic colour?

Besides your softer regrowth you will also notice none of the usual fumes or skin irritations and much healthier, shiny hair.

Can I have foils or lighten my hair?

Yes you can. You can do anything that a normal chemical colour can do.

Do your products have ammonia?

No, we do not hold products containing ammonia, resorcinol, nonoxyol or parabens.

Is it more expensive?

No more than any other professional salon.

What does your salon do differently?

We spend more time ensuring the wasted items used in your hair are cleaned adequately to be able to be placed in recycling bins. We keep abreast of new product releases for organic items to ensure we are using the best available. We try new products on ourselves to make sure we are happy that it is not only organic but also has a great results. We keep lists of ingredients for all products for you to see prior to application.
